Fix AirPods Battery Draining Too Fast Problem, Here’s How

AirPods

The AirPods are one of Apple’s best products till now, and that is despite many people’s feelings that they were nothing more than a gimmick when they were first announced. We’re now into the second generation of AirPods and yet again we are about to see them selling quicker than Apple can make them. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have issues, and battery life can be one of them.

Normally, AirPods batteries last more than long enough to get you through your listening session or conference call, but you might find that they can barely get through an album and for that there are a few things you can try to fix things up.

The first thing that you need to do is fully charge it and then fully drain your AirPods batteries to see if a full power cycle is enough to kick them into gear or not. If not, then you don’t need to worry about. There are more options that you can use.

After that, try resetting your AirPods by opening the case with them inside and pressing and holding the pairing button which is on the back of the case. Do that for about ten seconds, and the whole shebang will be reset.

If it is not working for you, another option is going into the Bluetooth settings of your iPhone or iPad and then forget the AirPods before repairing them. This method is worth a try, and who knows – you might be in luck.

If your luck is not working by these options then you might need to take your AirPods into Apple for repair or replacement. If they don’t have Apple Care and are outside of the warranty then there is a need to resort to picking up a new pair altogether. That’s not a cheap option no matter how you look at it, but you can think of it as an opportunity to get a nice shiny new pair of AirPods instead of the ones that have lived in your ears from the last two years.
