Huawei Mate 30 And Mate 30 Pro Will Be Unveiled On September 19th

Huawei went to its official Twitter account today to announce that it will present the Mate 30 series on September 19th. We recently told you that software development president Wang Chenglu had leaked that date on Hi-tech.mail. Mate 30 Pro will be the manufacturer’s most advanced non-folding phone launched this year and, under normal circumstances, line demand could have led Huawei to the top of the smartphone industry in terms of shipments. But this was not a normal year for the company.

On May 16, the US Department of Commerce included Huawei in his entity list for security reasons. This prevents the company from accessing the US supply chain. In which he spent $11 billion last year. While some exceptions are made to allow Huawei to serve existing customers, the manufacturer cannot purchase memory chips from Micron and other Intel and Qualcomm components. But what could hurt the company the most is its inability to license the Android version of Google Play services for new devices. Last week, Google told the media that the Mate 30 line will not be able to use the licensed version of Android, nor that the phones will be able to use Google’s major Android apps or include Google Play Store.

The Huawei Mate 30 line will sell well in China thanks to a wave of patriotism

While Huawei introduced its HarmonyOS last month, the company said it will not use the new software on high-end devices. Huawei may have to resort to an open-source version of Android similar to the FireOS variant used by Amazon for its tablets. Amazon has also used this forked version of Android for Fire Phone, one of its biggest failures (if not the biggest). Although Huawei decides to install an open-source version of Android on Mate 30 phones, the models will sell quite well in China. The ban sparked a wave of patriotism among Chinese consumers that led Huawei to claim 38.2% of the domestic market during the second quarter. This is more than double the 18.3% market share in China, owned by the second-ranked Oppo, from April to June. For the first half of 2019, which included 6 weeks in the entity list, Huawei delivered 118 million phones worldwide. Last year it sent 206 million phones.

It is believed that Huawei Mate 30 Pro is equipped with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen that will have a 90Hz refresh rate. It is 50% faster than the frequency found on traditional smartphone screens and will result in a smoother animation for the players and a smooth and buttery flow. It could also reduce battery life, which is why Mate 30 Pro should be shipped with a 4500 mAh capacity battery inside. Another feature that calls the phone’s battery is reverse wireless charging. This allows the back panel of the phone to be used as a wireless charging platform to turn on certain accessories and compatible phones. According to reports, the Mate 30 will be equipped with a 4200 mAh battery.

The photos in the Mate 30 Pro show that it will have a cascade screen. This means that the sides of the screen are curved and open at an angle of almost 90 degrees. Those who look directly on the phone screen may not notice the thin side frames on the device and Mate 30 Pro will have a wide notch at the top of the screen. The power of both phones will be the Kirin 990 chipset developed by Huawei. Designed by its HiSilicon unit, the SoC is produced by TSMC using its 7 nm process and will include an integrated 5G modem chip and a neural processing unit (NPU) for AI activities.

The Mate 30 line switched to a circular camera module from the square on the back of the Mate 20 Pro. This is a bit ironic since both Apple and Google are turning to the square camera modules this year. For your new phones. Speaking of the rear cameras, four will be inside the circular module that belongs to the Mate 30 Pro. We could see two 40 MP cameras (one for primary use, the other for wide-angle shots that offer a 120-degree field of view), one 8 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and time of flight sensor (ToF) to enhance bokeh effects in portraits.
