Latest Rumor Suggests Zoom Audio And Stylus Gesture Control In Note 10

We are a few weeks away from the launch of the Samsung Note 10 on August 7th, but the rumor is working at full speed. The latest states that the smartphone will have some new and radical features, such as gestural controls via S-Pen audio and video that only record audio from a source.

Other details seem to confirm previous entries, such as a two-model version (the standard 10 note and a larger 10 Pro note), but the most interesting statements are new. The S-Pen will support gesture controls to navigate and produce sounds appropriate for the context (for example, if you use it to highlight the text, it will make it look like a highlighted marker).

The rumor also says that the Note 10 video will include “Zoom Audio”, a feature that was first introduced in the LG G2 in 2013. Basically, it promised to record a sound source and block the rest, but the results they have been various.

Perhaps the most accurate prediction is the removal of the Bixby button. Instead, you can presumably summon the voice assistant with the power button, something like what we could do, briefly, with the late Samsung Galaxy Fold.

“Normal” Predictions Are Still Available

Samsung Galaxy Note 10

Even the lowest key predictions and rumors seem a bit out of step for the note line. For example, the source claims that the largest Note 10 will weigh 198g, while the smallest will be 168g, which is much lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Furthermore, the source states that the smaller Note 10 will only come in FHD + and the larger in QHD +, which is also strange given that Note 9 had a QHD + resolution (1,440 x 2,960). In other words, the source predicts that the smaller model will be slightly degraded compared to the specifications of its predecessor.

The rumor even predicts that the smaller model will have a 6.3-inch screen (compare it with the 6.4-inch Note 9). This could coincide with a previous rumor that Samsung is planning a launch of a smaller Note 10 exclusively in Europe, but this also seems a bit strange.

Some statements are less crazy: the removal of the 3.5 mm audio jack gave Samsung space to add 100 mAh of capacity to both Note 10 and Note 10 Pro batteries, extending the battery from the first to 3,500 mAh and the last to 4,300. That capacity gap alone suggests a noticeable difference in size between the models, although the disparity also affects recharging since the maximum limit is reduced to 25 W, while the largest presumably reaches 45 W of fast load potential.

Other predictions are in line with previous entries, such as starting the largest Note 10 Pro with 256 GB of storage space and giving only the option of 12 GB of RAM.

Needless to say, this set of rumors is the wildest we’ve heard about the Note 10, and we only have a couple of weeks left to find out if they are true.
