LG G8 ThinQ gets a domestic price that should make US bargain hunters very happy

LG G8 ThinQ

LG is a couple of steps behind to arch-rival Samsung in terms of flagship phone availability. However, the mobile industry has something coming up that could offset the release date of G8 ThinQ as compared to the Galaxy S10 family. Formally, it was unveiled a couple of days back but LG G8 is still ready for primetime. Although the pre-orders are scheduled to begin on 15 March, which will close after 6 days on the 22nd of March.

Unfortunately, we are discussing here the market of domestic South Korean company. On the Brightside, according to LG it has lowered the starting price of the previous G-series flagship while upgrading the G8 ThinQ performance but could not afford this drastic change in price. Now the official price of LG G8 ThinQ is 897,600.

What does that mean for the US market?

In short, it is good news. As this is the indirect confirmation and we expect the US price tag around Galaxy S10e mark rather than the regular Galaxy S10. Right now, 897,600 won the converts to $790 which is quite a little over while the cost of unlocked GS10e is $750. But this is obviously the way how prices change from region to region. For example, the price of the LG G7 ThinQ was slightly higher than the price of LG G8 in the homeland.

It is still unclear and we don’t know we should expect a lower price in the region of U.S but if the company manages the price around $700 then it might have a big winner on its hands especially if the second-hand program gets an extension to include the G8 ThinQ. Other than that, LG seems to offer one-year screen replacement for free in Korea in case of any accidental damage.
