The news in the air that Motorola is gearing up to launch yet another lineup of a mid-range device, but for those who only shop for flagship phones are not forgotten here. Moto P40 and Moto Z4 Play are two mid-tier phones that Motorola is all set up to unveil soon.
Moto P40 is the sequel of P30, a smartphone launched last year in China and it was released later in the United States by the name of Motorola One Power. If we talk about the specs then the P30 and Motorola One Power are the same devices, and the P40 might get released with different hardware configuration and that totally depends on the region.
The P40 which is unannounced recently popped up at Geekbench which is an unlimited source of information but it is not completely reliable. Anyway, the information that we got from there is that Motorola plan to use a different name for the phone in the U.S – One Vision.
The smartphone will not be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and there is a rumor to power the P40, but an Exynos 9610 CPU, which was recently introduced in Samsung Galaxy A50.
The phone is listed as Motorola One Vision, and the features that are expected to be packed in is the 6GB RAM with the Exynos 9610 chipset. If all the information proves out to be accurate then this will be the first smartphone of Motorola to pack a Samsung processor.
This looks quite a strange choice for Motorola because it usually goes for the Qualcomm processors. Even Samsung use Snapdragon CPUs inside the flagships sold in the United States, while Exynos chipsets are used in the international models. In any of the case, you can take this as all the benchmarks are listed on Geekbench that can be easily rigged.
