Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Could Be Cheaper Than Expected

With only five days from the announcement of the Galaxy Note 10, it is fair to say that there is not much else to reveal. Previous renderings showed the design, several reports detailed the specification sheet of each phone and the new Samsung dongle recently confirmed the lack of a headphone jack. But it turns out that the leading devices could be a bit cheaper than initially expected.

According to the tipster Ishan Agarwal, the normal Galaxy Note 10 with 256 GB of internal memory will sell for €949 in Europe. The larger Galaxy Note 10+, on the other hand, will cost consumers €1099, although a separate model will also be available with the huge amount of 512 GB of storage space for €1199.

The prices mentioned above must be valid for a handful of European markets, including Germany. However, the prices of Samsung’s upcoming flagships will vary across the continent due to different tax rates. For example, consumers in Spain and France generally have to pay €10 more, while those in Finland often have to pay €50 more, which increases the initial price of the Galaxy Note 10 to €999. These higher prices coincide with how much previously reported for Europe.

When it comes to how it compares to other devices, the Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung’s Galaxy S10 + started at €999 in Europe at launch, while the standard Galaxy S10 has the starting price of € 899. For as for rival branded devices, the high-end H30 P30 Pro sells for € 949 across Europe, while Apple’s iPhone XS and XS Max cost € 1159 and € 1259 for most European countries

Prices In The US Are Probably Cheaper Than Expected

It would be very easy to directly convert European prices into US dollars and assume that this is what Samsung will charge. Fortunately, that’s not how things work.

Because of the different tax rates in the US, smartphones are often much cheaper. When it comes to Samsung, it usually selects the basic European price and places a dollar sign at the end. Therefore, it is possible to determine that the Galaxy Note 10 will be sold for $949, while the larger Galaxy Note 10+ should cost $1099. If, on the other hand, you are interested in purchasing the 512GB version of the larger model, so $1199 should be the exact amount you need.

Most of the leaks so far suggest that European countries will not receive 12GB of RAM and 1TB of the Galaxy Note 10+ storage version. However, according to reports, Samsung is developing one and will probably arrive in the US, although price information has not yet been published. Compared to the additional Galaxy Note 10 configurations, a model with 512 GB of storage space is apparently under development and could cost $ 1049 if sold in the US.

Please Note that Roland Quandt has confirmed that the 256 GB models of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ will be sold for $949 and $1099 respectively.

In addition to the few details mentioned above, consumers can expect the Galaxy Note 10 series to be shipped directly with Android 9 Pie and One UI. The devices intended for Verizon customers should arrive with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, while those sold through T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint, according to reports, will opt for the new Samsung Exynos 9825.

It seems that both devices include large Infinity-O AMOLED panels (6.3 inches on the Galaxy Note 10 and 6.7 inches on the Galaxy Note 10+) in the front that are combined with extremely thin frames and a small camera cutout. The Galaxy Note 10 series also includes a completely redesigned rear that is characterized by a new vertical camera setup located in the upper left corner. The latter houses three cameras on the Galaxy Note 10 and a fourth flight time sensor on the Plus model.
