The original Galaxy Fold has not yet been released, but if you have to believe in relationships, Samsung is currently working on several future models. Two of these devices are expected to reach a certain point next year, while another, according to a report released today, could be launched in the coming months.
Citing sources familiar with the subject, The Investor revealed today that Samsung plans to “soon” launch a full range of folding smartphones, one of which will be used as Huawei Mate X. Very little is known about the Samsung alternative to be distributed at the moment but people within the company believe it could reach consumers before the Huawei device. Initially, it was expected to arrive this month, but it is now on its way to launch in September after a last-minute delay that should help Huawei resolve any problems and avoid negative press.
From the point of view of things, the exact launch date of the next Samsung fold has not yet been decided. Despite this, some providers have already begun to produce important parts, and perhaps even the phone itself. This should allow Samsung to anticipate Huawei and claim another title by producing the first folding smartphone in the series.
It is not clear at this stage if a second folder has always been planned for the second half of the year, but The Investor points out that the version will allow the company to capitalize on Huawei’s damaged reputation, suggesting that the launch may have been a problem Late entry into the Samsung roadmap.
Two More Foldable Smartphones Will Arrive In Early 2020
In addition to the device mentioned above, it is believed that Samsung has two more foldable smartphones in the pipeline. One of these should be a direct successor to the Galaxy Fold, while the other could be an offer similar to that of Motorola Razr.
According to reports, the Galaxy Fold 2 will maintain the basic design of the original but will introduce some noteworthy changes to meet consumer needs. Specifically, Samsung is said to be planning to support S Pen along with a larger 8-inch screen that will replace the existing 7.3-inch OLED panel.
As for when the Galaxy Fold 2 will be available, Samsung is said to have planned launch in December of this year. However, the delay of the original forced the company to delay their plans a little. Now the device should make its debut early next year, which could mean a debut at the MWC in February along with the Galaxy S11 series.
As for Samsung’s other foldable offers, the reports indicate the presence of a 6.7-inch screen that can be folded vertically. Next to this should be a small 1-inch panel on the outside that will display notifications, date and time and other useful information.
Like the Galaxy Fold 2, this particular offer is expected to arrive during the first half of 2020. People familiar with the subject suggest that Samsung will begin to acquire the screens needed in November before mass production begins at the beginning of January. As such, this device can also debut at MWC 2020.

Despite the many Samsung devices, folding smartphones are unlikely to become popular next year due to high prices. On the other hand, most consumers will probably opt for the usual range of emblematic models of the company. However, folding products should help measure consumer interest and determine which form factor is most popular. In addition, the versions will offer the company the opportunity to collect important data that could help improve the user experience.
