Thunderbolt-Based USB4 Announced with Double the Speed of USB 3.2

The USB promoter group has announced that USB4 is coming and it also promises to deliver at faster speeds. When USB4 will going to be introduced it should delight customers by being able to deliver data at the faster speed of up to 40Gbps.

If you want where are with USB technology currently, then you should appreciate that how a great leap forward USB4 to potential data transfer speed. The current USB technology will allow you to transfer data at speed of up to 20Gbps and that clearly means this advancement doubles the current data speed ad this improvement would be seen as being able to compete with the amazing data transfer speed of Thunderbolt 3 which is currently at the top in hierarchy as far as this port technology is going.

Chairman of the USB Promoter Group, Brad Saunders has provided a little detail about the USB4 progression:

The primary goal of USB is to deliver the best user experience combining data, display and power delivery over a user-friendly and robust cable and connector solution. The USB4 solution specifically tailors bus operation to further enhance this experience by optimizing the blend of data and display over a single connection and enabling the further doubling of performance.”

It needs to appreciate that the USB Promoter Group is exactly what it says on the tin, a group of key contributors such as Microsoft, HP, Intel, Apple, amongst others.
