3. Flume (macOS)

If you are a Mac user, Flume is one of the best available options for you to go with. It’s the closest thing to having an Instagram app on your Mac. It’s not just a video loader, it works the similar way as the Instagram app on your mobile devices.

The Flume app installer should be downloaded directly from the website. Unlike other third-party apps, Flume may not be visible in the launchpad.

  1. Simply copy the icon of the installed app to the app folder or use the desktop icon.
  2. Once the app is open, you will see a phone as an app interface that works as such.
  3. To upload a video, simply click on the camera icon in the lower-left corner.
  4. A separate upload window will appear where you can upload the photo or video.
  5. To select a video from the system unit, click on the camera icon in the center or on the three dots in the upper right corner to select other options. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop a video file into the window.

Once the file has been inserted, you will see a series of options similar to those offered by the app on the phone. You can edit, upload different parts of a video, apply a filter and even select a thumbnail for your video. You can also write a description, add hashtags and tag people in the usual way.

Once the process is complete, all that remains is to post the video in your feed. But if you haven’t noticed, the app upload feature is only available in the Pro version. So, if you want to fully enjoy the benefits of the app, you’ll have to spend a little. It is not very expensive given the features it offers.

Uplet (macOS)

As simple as it could be, Uplet does exactly what you want from it. you can install the app directly from the website like any other third-party app and access it from the launchpad.

After the installation, you will notice that the app has a very minimal user interface. It’s so simple and straightforward that you can’t resize the app window. It’s still a small window with only a few numbers of options.

  1. Click on the Add symbol on the screen to select one or more files.
  2. It does not say, but you can also drag and drop files into the window. Once the video is in the window, you will see the options to upload files.

Unfortunately, you can’t do much before a load except writing the description and hashtags. The same goes for photos.

  1. Just press the share button and the file will begin to load. The uploading process is instantaneous and works exactly like an app.

Now the free version of this app has a limit to upload 5 number of files only. After which you will need to purchase a pro version based on your needs.
