What could Google announce at GDC next week?

With the internet news about what Google will announce at GDC next week, we are here to bring some sense to proceedings by speculating that what the Android specialists might be working on.WCCFgoogleGDC-740x429 Here’s are some of our prediction about it. Google is working on a brand new gaming platform which aims to make streaming a viable option for the first time ever in 2019 in the gaming zone. We think that this gaming platform itself will work on every device under the sun. It works with your Chrome browser on a Mac or PC, on your iPhone and Android through an app it even works on the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

Google has already tested a streaming service that runs in Google’s Chrome browser, so it’s not very far away from reality.

If Google is working on a streaming platform, we reckon it will work on everything

We reckon Google will want to make this platform available to all to maximize its success, and Chrome is the best way to release it.google-controller-1024x576For other platforms, Google just announced to support for Joy-Con controllers on Chrome and every single gaming controller currently available will support this new platform. Microsoft and Nintendo have already announced that they’re okay working with other platforms and Xbox Live is also coming to every platform soon. For example, including Nintendo Switch and it proves that Nintendo isn’t worried about the competition either.

We reckon that both companies will be more than happy to support Google’s offering on their home consoles but we’re not sure about Sony which already has a competitive streaming app available on iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. We think that Google will launch the service alongside a brand new gaming platform which specializes in streaming video games.

Google is also working on a console that will take full advantage of the platform

The controller patent pretty much confirms it that Google is also working on a console and It will take full advantage of that platform. It also helps to boost the profile of the service enormously if gamers just buy a brand new console that sets it all up for them, including a new gaming controller.Are-Google-entering-the-gaming-market

We’re not sure what it will look like, it may be a simple box that goes under your TV, and has good enough specifications to run the Android TV games on Google Play, or it may be a thing that you plug into your TV, like Chromecast. It might be just a new version of Chromecast with a rebrand and a controller.
